Irish Ayes fluking 08/08/08
« on: August 08, 2008, 10:04:21 PM »
Hit the inlet and went north, again. Had John S, Crazy Eddie and Jeff aboard today.

Hit several of our spots and eventually made it to the red church. Fished deeper water all day. Managed six keepers up to 25 1/2 inches and two keeper sea bass. Many short fluke went back to the ocean. Would not hesitate to say we would have had a four man limit at last years size. A lot of 17 1/2 fluke out there.

Bait of the day was squid and smelt. Spearing worked ok today and whole squid drew the attention of a lot of the 17 1/2 inch fish.

Will be out again tomorrow.  t^

Good day Joe.It's amazing how many of those 17.5 inch fish take it down to their tale and are at risk when returned to the sea. Some one told me today that NEXT years regs.are changed for the better. ??? We all hope so !!

Give a man a fish, and he can eat for a day. But teach a man how to fish, and he'll be dead of mercury poisoning inside of three years.

You're a machine Joe. Way to put the flatties in the boat.
