I am planning to remove my carbs and let it sleep under the bed for winter. Good idea or bad idea?. I will stuff the engine manifold with cloth etc.

These rebuild kit cost 85$ a pop x 3, it does not make sense. since e10 is eating rubber and breaking down stabil into gum.

If you run her out of fuel while fogging her.  you won't have any trouble?

I did this to her last fall and cover her very thigh with plastic then cloth.

Should I rebuild now or wait for spring next year. I have a kick 9.5 that is moving me around.

Wouldn't wraping in plastic creat moisture inside and make it worse for the motor? If you gonna wrap it, throw in a sock full of "DampRid" from the hardware.

Your right darth. Don't wrap nothing in plastic. I see people all the time wrapping there outboards with covers and tarps. The motor has its own cover and its all it needs.  Your carbs may be able to come apart and cleaned without using any kits. I've done many.

Thanks capt matt,

To remove them , I notice is a piece of cake, how to clean is the challenge, the service manual says if you open XYZ, you have to change the gasket etc fine.

When you speak with the dealers they say you have to buy the whole kit, which include floats and other stuff.
