Stuffing Box
« on: June 30, 2008, 08:44:43 PM »
The stuffing boxes on my 85 Sea Ray are leaking real bad.  It is twin vdrive engines that are extremely hard to get to. I have had 3 people look at it but no one is small enough or willing to try and fix it.  Anyone know of someone??

after messing with many motorcycle carbs,, do work on them over a solid surface so you dont lose any small parts. i dropped a piece once and took me 3 hours to find it in the grass.

just be careful not to drop anything and you should be fine. carbs are simple and not much to them. also be careful when you go to take main screws out they will be soft and stuck in pretty hard, which makes for a bad combo.

I assume your boat is on a trailer? What model SeaRay and power do you have?
