I'm looking for information on tackle shops in NJ.  Lots of selection and good service. Driving in from PA, so I'm looking to narrow the field a bit. Any suggestions?

Guess I should have been more specific.  I've fished out of Belmar, Brielle, Wildwood, and the Highlands.  Not looking for a bait shop but rather for setups.  Right now I'm looking for a couple outfits for partyboat fluking.  Done all of my fluking to this point in the back.  I remember Brielle Bait and Tackle being a nice shop, it was a long time ago though.  What do you know about Tackle Direct?  Not opposed to checking out smaller shops.

Travel won't be a problem, just want to narrow the search.  Looking for good advice and plenty of inventory.  I see Tackle Direct all over the internet, just wondered if people like the shop.  Don't have to go that big, I'm sure there are a lot of good, smaller stores I'm not aware of.  If it takes a couple of trips, so be it.

I always liked Sportsmens Center in Bordentown. On the way to almost anywhere in NJ from PA

and right down the road from there ^ is another good place, harry's army/navy.  they're both on us130 north in the bordentown area.

Been to Harry's for hunting equipment already, I liked the store. Was wondering what you guys thought about there saltwater fishing selection.  Never been to the place in Bordentown, but sounds like I could combine the trips.  Thanks for the information, if anybody has any other suggestions, keep them coming.  If anyone can offer some tackle suggestions (ocean fluking) feel free to add your two cents.  Have a good backbay outfit.  Need something to handle middleweights, say 4 to 8 ounces, and something for heavier currents up to 12 ounces.  I have a Shimano Convergence extra heavy conventional rod fast action, rated to throw 3 ounces.  That might work for the heavy setup.  What do you guys think?

On my deep water outfit i have a 7'6" st. croix heavy action with a avet mx series reel. I chose this reel due to the price and needed a LEFTY REEL. This outfit usually doesn't make n appearance until I start eeling
