Out with my father-in-law Bill O'Bryne and brother-in-law Brian. Left port shortly after 7:15. Water smooth as glass. Set-up drifts in the Ambrose NY water only producing a slow pick of shorts. 1 seabass for the box. Moved further up the the channel where the entire fleet was drifting near the 2-4 can. Picked up several more shorts 1 NJ keeper and plenty of sea robins. Coast guard and CO's were out in full force today boarding and checking what seemed to be every other boat. The pick shifted to more robins than fluke so we ventured out to the Scotland. It seemed to be devoid of fish today (unusual). Headed further south and in toward the beaches to pick up the pace on fluke. Put two more in the box. Not a banner day but the weather made up for the fishing shortcoming. Out tomorrow to see what we can find.
