Pop's Soul 8 / 23
« on: August 23, 2008, 08:13:51 PM »
Left the dock with ,the wife ,Drew and his girlfriend Dory. Headed North and made our first drift in 50 feet of water just North of the Asbury Park high rise and started picking through shorts. 2 weeks ago Dory boated her first fluke on her own with no coaching, this week she put her first KEEPER on the boat, and the ladies showed up the guys today. we made a few more drifts trough that area and put 3 in the box until the bite slowed. With Drew at the wheel we moved off for some deep water fluking to some of Capt. Joe's old hot spots but only boated Ling. Made a move to the south to where we fished yesterday and the wife picked up another lone keeper. We made one more move in toward Spring Lake and picked up shorts. We had that east wind all day which put a steady chop on the water. Fihished the day with 4 keepers  t^
