Salmon River Report
« on: September 07, 2008, 08:13:28 PM »
Alright....

Fished salmon river Friday evening, all day saturday, half day today. Between my cousin and I, SAW (not caught), saw.. about 20 fish total. Swam behind us at an outstanding speed, while we werent ready. Splashed up the river through rapids, took off down the river. Had my chance at a salmon that was at least 30+ lbs, a female, but it was gone before I got any casts at it. Rained on and off saturday, slowest day and we saw the least amount of fish that day. Meanwhile we did the most walking up and down river, at least 3 miles total, through the rough currents and the sudden deep holes through the slate rock on the bottom. Today was a nice day to fish, saw more today but still NO BIG runs what so ever. Do not take the trip up until last week of september or in october. I'll be up Oct. 3rd - 5th. Will have pictures of the water, lodge, fat nancys etc. posted tomorrow.

Oh yeah, also caught a fish... looks like a mixed breed between a trout and a walleye. Stan, the lodge owner, said it looked like a baby Atlantic Salmon. Ill have a picture of that tomorrow too. 5hrug chrz

But My EAGLES dominated today!!!!!!  TT^ TT^ TT^
Give a man a fish, and he can eat for a day. But teach a man how to fish, and he'll be dead of mercury poisoning inside of three years.
