Irish Ayes fluking 8-29
« on: August 29, 2008, 08:44:14 PM »
Today's crew consisted of Bob Cole, George, Harold, Mark and Dan.

We left the inlet and headed north. Fished several areas between the inlet and Elberon. East wind about 10-15, 2-3 foot seas, 71 degree water temperature.

A lot of short fluke were boated and released. Several skates were also released.

Released after a visit to the filleting table at the dock were nine nice fluke. The largest being a 24 incher brought into the boat by George.  Mark caught a nice seabass that was also released after introduction to the fillet table.

Bait today was whole squid, squid strips, bunker strips, spearing and smelt. All bait caught fairly evenly but the whole squid out caught the rest.

Will be out tomorrow for the tourney. Hope to find several 24+ fish tomorrow.  t^
