The lights are holding fish. There where two calm warm nights this past week. Hope you didn't miss em. Fish have been numerous but small, up to 24 inches. Big uns are up the rivers.

Give a man a fish, and he can eat for a day. But teach a man how to fish, and he'll be dead of mercury poisoning inside of three years.

What a great story - Thanks!

I am just a beginner - fished mainly in the ocean from party boats, from the shore, did some lake fishing, but recently got very attracted by kayak fishing and would like to start. I have a big folden kayak (fitting 3 people) for traveling. Tried to fish from it, but it's only good when one is paddling for me. So, I decided to buy a fishing kayak and got few questions I wish you could help me.
1. There are kayaks with foot paddles - does it make sense? What are there pros and cons comparing to a regular kayak?
2. I am 6+ feet tall and 200 pounds - would 12 feet kayak be good for me?
3. Should I take sit-in or sit-on-top kayak? (My current experience is with sit-in only)

Thanks a lot, and I appreciate whatever advice you can give!

Vladimir......All good questions to ask....I like a S-O-T kayak because if I do flip over, I can get back in fast.

I would take a ride to Jersey Paddler and ask questions about the best kayak for you what works for me....may not be what your looking for in a kayak.....
The areas I fish are the ones you said where a wast of time
