Tuna Tales Saturday bottom fishing
« on: October 05, 2008, 09:30:07 AM »
Had my nephew Eddie and friends Eric and Matt today. Plan was to clam for stripers. Nada...2 hours of dogfish/skates on the clam beds.

Plan B...bottom fishing. Nice steady action for about 4 hours with blackfish (including Eric's 7 1/2 lber), nice size porgies and seabass. Lots of throwbacks but good, steady action. Overall probably had 40 blackfish, 30 porgies and 30 seabass all on the same drop.

Nice day...

Thx

Joe T.

Even though plan A didn't work out for you, it looks like you had some great action going to plan B!  Congratulations on a fine catch and the big tog!   TT^

Good job Joe. I have found a lot of short seabass the last several trips.  :P
