Upper New York Bay 10-13-08
« on: October 13, 2008, 10:34:23 AM »
Started fishing around 8:30 and finished around 10:15. Only caught 1 striper today but I had fun. Some other guy came by with a flyrod, first time I saw one used, it was pretty cool, and he caught 2 stripers on it.

My son caught the snappers yesterday at the very end of the walkway. Go to the end of the walkway, make a right by the ferry and fish about 15 feet before the last set of benchs.

He actually caught 2 of his fish by jigging. Drop the lure stright to the bottom and bounce it up and down. Also keep an eye out for when the snappers chase the bait to the surface as they did several times yesterday.
