Irish Ayes False Albie Troll
« on: October 13, 2008, 07:54:46 PM »

Ooopppppppppps, wrong troll. I must be getting tired. ;D

Anyway...

I had BobG, Captain Mike and Jozwirk aboard today. Tired of all the short seabass we have been catching so we headed out to the Oil Wreck to check out the semi-offshore scene.

Put out a seven line spread and began our troll about three miles short of the oil wreck. Trolled the pot area and around the wreck for several legs. Three knockdowns resulted in three false albies.

Trolled to the Arundo and the two yellow buoys placed near the Arundo then trolled back to the Oil Wreck via the Shark River Reef.

Had three more knock downs and boated two more false albies. One came off the hook half way to the boat.

No other knockdowns. Burned some fuel but had a great time just the same.

Had no good markings on the recorder and saw no bird action. No sea creatures to be seen either, except, of course, for the ones we caught.  ;D

Good weather, great crew and some action. Doesn't get any better than that.  t^

That's what I'm waiting for.  TT^

I heard a cold front is coming thru in a few days. That'll help.

Nice Report Joe, I did give you a shout when I broke the inlet. Must have been out of range. Was a nice day to get out away from land.. t^
