Machine shop available
« on: May 09, 2007, 12:05:46 PM »
Thought I'd put in here that I own a small machine shop in the Union Co area. If you have an idea that would make the both of us rich t^, but dont have the tools to make it a reality, shoot me an email and we can discuss how lucrative it is. I'm working on a mold for those fishfinder plastic pieces. $1.00 for 2? I dont think so. >:D

Bob,
If one were to purchase a blank sinker mold, would you be able to cut a design/form into the blank sinker mold?

Guy posted he knew a guy making them for $25. I dont think I could compete with that. Material, welding, and labor. I'd be making them and handing you a $20 too.

...but I could make them, sure.

The sinker mold has always been on my mind. There is a program SolidWorks which allows you to create a 3-D solid model on the screen (surfaces), and then split and import them into Cam software (gives the machine the numbers to cut by). Naked lady sinkers anyone?

I'm in the learning faze of the modeling software, but can definately see the oportunities. Do you have a sketch?

No sketch as of yet.  Wouldn't be hard to do.  My idea revolves around more of a novelty sinker where the packaging would be the real seller.

PM me if you would be interested in hearing what I have in mind.

Email me your contact info... What is your extent of work?  I may not have any good inventions but I work for a commercial G.C. and we are always looking for a good misc. metals contact.
