Any beach is good anytime of the year, the fall and winter really can heat up for catching in the surf! Your chances are just as good on just about any beach in NJ. What you want to look for on the beach is for holes/pockets, rips, troughs, points, etc...You will be able to find these by reading the sand and surf. http://njsaltwaterfisherman.com/forums/index.php?topic=3964.0 . Some people also believe that beaches with quicker and deeper drop offs can be more productive, but that is not always true. Another guaranteed sign of fish is bait and birds working. So if you see that, you should be good to go!
Fishing has been hit or miss so far, with some bass and blues being caught. Lures and plugs work great this time of year. With the lastest storms, clams have been great baits.
