Went out around noon on Thursday and fished till around 19:00. All we had to show were short bass. Headed out on Friday around 7:30, dew was frozen out the dock. We fished the bay with claims and worms, from Romer, south. Picked up a around 20 bass with three keepers. Headed down to the rocks to try our luck and managed about a dozen Porgy’s. I have never caught them before, so I don’t know if we did good or not.
Called it a day around 18:00, The day was great ended up with nice drifts and down to a t-shirt. Wanted to fish Saturday and Sunday, but with the forecasted winds we headed for home.
Back at the dock while cleaning the fish a guy came up to us and said he has fished here all his life and he has never seen such big porgy’s.
Guess we did good.
Ended the trip on a good note, met Nick (Luna Sea) at the ramp.
