Irish Ayes blues 10-26
« on: October 26, 2008, 06:56:48 PM »
Had Lou, Andy and Matt aboard today.

Went north out of Shark River. Dropped some trolling lines in at Asbury and trolled to the Red Church. Had one lost lure from a bite off and one other hit. No hook up.

Found some hi grounds with good marks on it at the Red Church and tried for sea bass. Lou had the only hit in the coffee colored water.

Ran up to the Shrewsbury Rocks and trolled a bit. Nothing.

Saw some bird action further offshore and took a ride out. Good move as we at least found some blue fish. Plenty of good marks on the machine and we jigged up a baker's dozen for the grill. Did I mention Matt likes to eat blue fish.  :-X

Another saved day by the blues. Only two more weeks till the Irish Ayes gets put to bed for the winter.  :'(

Almost forgot to mention. Blues were spitting out plenty of sand eels.

Hi Skip, I put over 200 hours on the Yammie again this year.  TT^

Not bad for mostly drift fishing with the motor shut down.  ;D
