I treat gas change oils and lube everything .Then I tarp her and pray for spring to get here. What am I missing whats your way of doing it .What are the pros and cons to shrink wrap or tarping a boat

For my gas I treat the tank. But for winter I mix up about 3/4 gallon of gas with a can of seafoam. Hook that up directly and run it for awhile. Dont like tight fitting covers. No air and mold forms. slt

Sounds like you have it down. I'm going to pull the batteries and keep them inside the garage where I can monitor the voltage and charge as needed. I will be tarping mine for the winter, which will enable me to get aboard with ease if I feel like messing with anything during the winter. Slso, the tarp can be used many seasons, and is cheaper then the shrink wrap. <'((((><
I've spent most of my life fishing, the rest I've just wasted     <'((((><

CatFish,I Basically do the same, I also like to pull batteries and put a trickle charge on them while in storage.I pitch the cover(loose) so rain and snow SHOULD fall off; and I can peek in when necessary. Work on the to do list(OH Geeeze) Then go into depression and try to keep busy, pour lead and molds, tie teasers etc.. I hope I can  pm you for some suggestions.     AJ.

I power wash the hell out of it, everything.  I don't put the wax on till spring.  Basic winterize the engines and antifreeze in the wells.  I power wash the engines and props and also wax them in the spring.  I put my center counsol cover on but leave the rest of the boat uncovered and I make sure I don't leave it under any trees during the winter.  I will use moth balls in the CC cabin.

.What are the pros and cons to shrink wrap or tarping a boat
Shrink wrap pros, keeps a nice tight fit with air vents.  No need to worry about wind, heavy rain or snow. cons... a ton of garbage in the spring when you have to cut it all off.  Thats it.
Tarp pros, cheaper then shrink wrap. IMO, thats it.  cons.  always ripping at joints, have to keep checking it all winter to make sure its holding up. Not as ventilated as shrink wrap.
With the shrink wrap, once its covered, you can walk away and not worry about it till next season.
