Trollin Schoolies 11/11
« on: November 12, 2008, 01:42:22 PM »
Headed out with Skunk with live eels and worms yesterday AM.  SH Bay was rockin with white caps and 4-5's NW blow 15+.   It took 50 mins or so to get across the bay to Staten Island for some wind cover.. haven't seen that amount of water come over the bow of the boat todate.  Slow and steady....

Marked some fish near the raritan bay light tossed eels, worms no takers.  Hit the western reach with sick marks on the finder.  No one interested!  Wind was blocked, seas calmer as day progressed.

Switched over to reliable 9ers and Xtrap deep diver.  No takers on the diver.  1st hook up on chartruese shads monster blue....

Kept pulling up the Reach on the return trip with 2 shorties 20" and 23" to the boat with one other on to spit boat side.

Entertained by the military fly over for the rededication of the USS Intrepid where President Bush honored our Vets.

PS Heard they banged the bass today under working birds!!
