Luna Sea's 20 things learned in 2008
« on: December 31, 2008, 02:59:25 PM »
1.  Make sure you follow Catfish if you want Fluke early in the season.

2.  Make sure Doc/Skolman brings that huge fresh squid.

3.  Bring extra toilet paper and baggies for Uncle Luna.

4.  Make sure nobody around you has a camera incase HotRod needs to take a leak.

5.  Always have a Capt. Anthony on the boat, very knowledgeable to have.

6.  Make sure you bring a lighter for AJ's great cigars after a good day on the water.

7.  Always have an extra trim tab, lol.

8.  Duplicate my team for the next Fluke-a-thon, you guys rock.

9.  Make sure you clean all the hair off the bow of the boat the next time anchored at Horseshoe Cove, especially the day before a full boat.

10.  Make sure you have enough Gulp Penny Shrimp for Art when he Flukes.

11.  Make sure you bring heavy enough lead in case you fish with Mboy, you don't want him talking about you behind your back because of it.

12.  Teach your guests how to throw a cast net, there is no need for the captains arms to get tired.

13.  Make sure if you fish with Mboy, teach him how to throw a cast net so the captain doesn't have to. If he hasn't learned by spring of 2009, I will teach him for a fee.

14.  Make sure you anchor at Horseshoe cove again, more often in 2009, beer, cigar, extra curricular activities.. while watching the sun set..

15.  Make sure to use heavy leader so you don't lose Brijones's home made jigs.

16.  Always check the trash cans at the Atlantic Highlands marina, if you see 100 fluke racks in there, you know Broken Bobber just got back.

17.  While sleeping in the car the night before a fishing trip, you know that Capt. Anthony will be the first one there in the morning to wake you up.  Just make sure he brings you a coffee.

18.  While driving in the dark, don't always trust your GPS, it can get you in trouble if there is no moon light out.

19.  Make sure that when we catch a almost state record Stargazer, Capt. Anthony isn't scared of it so we can get a weight on it.

20.  Still prefer my Penn spinning over baitcasting, but at least I gave the baitcaster a fair try.

I thought you would get a laugh out of it Rachael.. I can't imagine someone practicing to throw a cast net as much as Mboy and he still can't get it to open, I wonder if you have any grass left in your yard, YET gives advice to others on how to throw one.

Rule of thumb.. Make sure you know how to do something before you teach it to others..  rofla

Nobody, NOBODY knows everything, even if they sound like they do.... There is always room to learn more.  The only time you stop learing, is when your dead.
