Shimano makes some rugged, reliable and relatively inexpensive bike parts. They are easy to work on and readily available. Their business model appears to be sound and ethical. Not saying they WON'T move it to China or offshore but they may not, either way better Shimano to buy them then Wing Mei Fun Fishing Tackel and Baby Formula I mean Melamine Disposal Company.
