OK, the boat has been out of the water now for just over a month and I have the shakes. So I have for the last couple weekends been taking apart all the reels and cleaning them and giving them a touch of lube. I have 4 more reels to go and they will be ready for the 2009 season.
When they are done I'll start tying knots and making rigs. That way I don't need to scramble to do it while on a charter. Just open a rig box and pull out what I need. No fuss no muss. After all the boat will back in the water in just 2 1/2 short months.
Pretty much April is when the spring run of Bass will get started in the Delaware Bay and that rolls into the Black Drum bite in May.
Got to be ready to go. This time of the year I spend a great deal of time in the garage smoking cigars, tying knots, cleaning reels and making plans for the new season. Man I can't Wait
