Put a beatin on em again!!!
« on: March 29, 2009, 10:40:26 PM »
Planned on relaxing and cleaning the man cave until my buddies ryan and jim called me at 130 today with reports of a school of stripers rolling by Pebble beach in Mystic Island today. Hit the road and was on the sod bank by 330 after hitting FHQ on LBI, cleared them outta every last surf clam they had ::)

Tally was this -

Ryan - missed 2
Jim - missed 2, landed one BEAUTIFUL migratory fish at 27.9999 inches that went back
me- Missed one fish

We stayed through the outgoing and the 2nd incoming, packed it up before dark and before the storm hit.

All in all, good day once again. Dont chase reports, make em!! chrz

It was just nice to get out and not catch the skunk and see some fish landed finally. Hard work and braving rotten weather is starting to pay off.. t^

Well... More to add to this, my 2 buddies went back to the same location we fished sunday. They set a 4 rod spread in less then favorable conditions last night, clams and bloods. Ryan foul hooked a BIG bunker. That went out in chunks, they ended up filling their limit with migratory fish from 28-35 inches on bunker chunks.

They're here!! t^

I plan to hook into a 20lb class fish by the end of the fall run. Hopefully 30lb. We'll see.

Keep hitting the water like you have been and you should be able to get your 20#er in the spring run.  t^

Good luck.
