Fish Monger Apr 1 Winter Flounder Report

Had Brian, Jack, John Sr, John Jr, Rich and Pat aboard for an Open Boat Winter Flounder Trip. Headed up to the bay.

Got set up and had that instant fish but it was short live... Caught 3 then nothing made a few move nothing...We picked a couple then moved to our final spot we were caught 7 and missed a few... Threw lots of clams and chum...

Wound up with 12 fish - 11 keepers. Water was 46 most of the day.

Gotta break open soon... We hope.

Testing out New Monger Rigs Since the fishing was Slow Lmao pic attached

Ps Thanks Pat for keeping our bellies fed with garlic shrimp and sandwiches... and Brian with the Jerky.

Great group Today... Pleasure having them aboard!!!

First time fishing with Capt. Jerry & Capt. Wayne.  These guys worked real hard to put us on the fish.  Clams, clams and more clams.  It was a tough day fishing picking here and there, but a real pleasure fishing on The Monger!   They put in some overtime and we went home with a few tasty fillets!

First trip with the Monger and could not have asked for a better crew and time. Capt tried hard to put us on the fish and Jeff and Wayne provided non stop chumming with clams and corn.
Wife had one the first five minutes and thought that it would be a good sign, but as Capt Jerry stated above it was slow pickings all day.
Stayed out a hour longer than scheduled trying to put some more in the boat.
Great time, great people to fish with and met some nice people from PA.

Just look out for Charlie Potts, he's a ringer.
