Mantoloking Flounder 04.02.09
« on: April 02, 2009, 02:23:50 PM »
As you may have guessed...caught a royal skunk. Foggy cold and a bit windy standing on the bridge today. Chum Pots were out, lines were wet and baited with an assortment of baits....nothing. Fished the first two hours of the outgoing this afternoon. We need a few days of warm weather!

At least I got to shake off the winter rust ;D

Good for you.  I was over there the other day and the same thing chum pots out and still nothing.  Thats okay as the season is very young and the weather has to cooperate just a little more.

Happy Catching

It will get better soon.

I was debating between Mantoloking and the bridge by Dock Outfitters for today.  Choose the latter....and caught the same skunk you had up there.  And the same cold, fog and wind.
But at least I tried and got some peace and queit for a little while.

Nice try Chris, it is suppose to be real snotty tomorrow I think I will do some temp checks and put together the lift for the kayak on the Expedition.

Sunday looks pretty interesting I will probably go out to IBSP for a try.   Had reports that they are doing pretty good up north around Pebble beach and the Keyport flats but is gets crowded fast.

It always does. But the fishing is phenomenal there once they really turn on
