Thought on Thru Hulls

 How about carry wood plugs just incase? Never heard this mentioned but I was thinking of picking up some wood dowel slightly bigger than the hole and put a tapper on it. You might have to jump in to insert it but better than sinking.

I always carry a leak kit on the boat.........dowels, plugs, clapms, etc TT^

hard rubber stoppers of the right size work too
already got a taper on them, squishy so they stay in place.
good ideas all, if one goes unexpectedly below the waterline prolly need both plan a and b

You do have to watch the wood plugs because you may enlarge the size of the hole in the fiberglass with the solid wooden plug, especially if you were to try to bang it in for a tighter fit. The rubber would be a better idea.  t^
