Stripermania Report 4/9/09
« on: April 13, 2009, 07:19:54 AM »
Met Capt Lou & Capt Matt at Browns Marina in Keyport.

Dock lines off at 6:55 am.

On board Stripermania today was Dick Kondak ,Capt Gene Quigley, and Mike (aka the J-hooker).It took abit to get things going.I was 1st to hook up with a schoolie Bass.Mike was getting lots of hits but he was trying to set the hook like he was using a J-hook.Lou says Art please give Mike a J-Hook.Matt tied on a J-Hook & Mike was hooking up left & right.Lots of missed hits by all. Roughly 20 Bass were boated and 3 were keepers. The catching was no where near what I experienced last Sun.The bass were just tapping the bait very light.Once the belly was gone it was time to bait up again.

2 keeper flounder were also boated.

Hi-light of the trip was Dick Kondak says guys look at the Fluke swimming a half foot below the surface. We all turned and looked at one another and said that's a Fluke.

Capt Lou,Capt Matt thanks once again for putting us on fish.

Capt. Gene Quigley was nice enough to put together some great video of the days action....Thanks again Capt !!!
