Met Lee (aka the Kup) at Keyport Marine Basin at 1 pm.The plan was we were going to go on Scouting mission because Lee had some friends heading out today and he wanted to see where the bite was.Lee marked some fish off of Union Beach & we dropped the anchor.We waited 20 minutes and nothing was happening.Pulled the anchor up & moved on the NY side and within 15 minutes the bite started.I hooked up first with a 26" Bass and Lee hooked the 1st keeper.We both caught fish for a few hrs.I put the last Clam on on my hook and within minutes I was hooked up.I knew I had a nice fish on.The line was peeling & from a distance I saw the fish surface.I landed the Bass & it measured 34". Lee took a pic and the Bass was released.The short trip yielded 2 keepers & some short Bass.
