Strathmere Report 5/10
« on: May 10, 2009, 06:52:10 PM »
Fished with my longtime fishing partner brandon and his grandpop Johny. Hit the beach at 4AM, Johnny landed a 25" striper on his first cast on clam. He got a pat on the back and sent on his way. Then the sandsharks moved into the hole we were workin... It was nonstop til the sun came up of big 3 foot doggies. Bite died off then they came back when more water moved in.
Also had a few skates. Water turned muddy when the sun came up and a current picked up... rgmn

Young and love fishing...

Willing to do weekend work on a boat spring/summer 09 fishing season... have references!

We could see em take off through the waves then the doggies all moved in over the bar. I was hoping that the rising tide would give us a little bit more water for the stripers to move into but it wasnt meant to be today. Im gonna return to the same spot with the guys soon and fish it since we know the fish push through there. Johnny landed 15 one night, 8 another night and 1 today...

Good going guys, to bad on the dogies though.  At least you were catching and not working on other (house) stuff.

Pretty much the case... It was great to fight em in though, a few were going airborne in the shallows and putting a good fight up.
