Raritan Bay 5/21
« on: May 21, 2009, 10:21:54 PM »
with fishing buddy John, out of Sayreville at 1:30 with a full bushel of clams, headed for the flats and set up around 2,hopefully get into a late bite like we had Tuesday.had a good wind blowing at times and the boat doing a lot of swinging, did manage to pick up a few stripers each and John putting the only keeper in the cooler,a fat 30 incher,we also had slow steady pick of bluefish to keep the action going.stayed out thru the slack tide and a little bit of the swing to the out going, picked one more short just before coming in,came in just before dark, didn't get the bite we had Tuesday, but enough to keep it interesting.good afternoon and early evening on the water,if I don't get out tomorrow will wait till next week, don't like dealing with the weekend holiday crowd.   Kez
