sandy hook surf fishing for fluke

was wondering if its to early to try surf fishing for fluke at the hook??..i might try it this sunday..anyone think its worth the effort??

The fluke filter into the bays from the ocean. This has already started and will continue.

Seems to me that it would make sense to at least give it a try. The fish do have to swim past the hook to get to the bay.  TT^

You will catch fluke at the hook right now...  Things really heat up at the hook in about 3 more weeks for fluke.

tried last week at fishermans beach no hits ony
robins and skates on bunker but my buddy lost a big fish on sand worms so thinking bass his line broke

well lets see..got a little sunburned,saw some fantastic bikinis..oh and emptied the cooler,the only thing i caught was a 12 ounce beauty...lol..oh well its still early in the year

we caught 2 fluke off the boat yesterday with an ava jig with a green tube.

hopeing to try this weekend will be camping their with the boy scouts will most likely try the bay side by horse shoe cove thats the area were the camp sites are

still a nice day to be out, emptied the coolers always a plus.... ill be out there at the tip this saturday with the cousin, and takin my girl out on one of the chartars sunday... see what happens, good luck to u  TT^

Doesn't look like the tip of hook from your picture,  looks ocean side and you rarely see that many people out there that don't fish
