Had the Anthony Garipoli and company on board today for some Striped Bass action....headed down the beach and stopped on the pipeline to drift around the clammer for awhile but nobody home...headed south in search of the mysterious menhaden....no go...they were way south so we decided to switch to some tasty bottom fish. drifted the rocks for awhile for some decent action until we lost wind and tide after that squall moved through. headed offshore and north to a few wrecks. found some tide but no wind so we drifted the area. tally for the day 20 sea bass to 3lbs, 4 ling to 4lbs and 1 keeper fluke 5.14 lbs. loads of short fluke, sea bass and some porgy action ! the guys were thrilled with the constant action!
no bunker to be had....marked some striped bass but they are turning away from clams! 64.3 degree average off the beach.
