went down friend Ken's house in Sayreville to install transducer for my new gps/ff combo and also install 2 flush mount rod holders.after getting done he suggests lets check it out and do some fluking for a couple of hours,didn't bring any gear with me,really wanted to go home and take it easy,but me being a fishing whore,didn't take much coaxing and I agreed.sent his wife Hon for some bait and out of Sayreville and down the river,stayed mostly in the river,picked a few shorts and Hon got a 20 incher,tried bayside of train bridge for a while,a few shorts.decided to head in,boat traffic got heavy,one of the reasons I don't usually fish weekends.was awed by my new combo unit,only has the loaded maps,my g2 chip won't be in until next Thursday,still the detail great on the ff and charts.seems user friendly,at my age want to deal with things that are no more complicated than on or off
a guy at the ramp was taking pictures of an 11 lb.fluke that they caught just off the hook,real nice fish. on the way home stopped at bait shop to get bait for tomorrow,going out early,also gassed up.going out now give the boat a quick wash. Kez
