Although a south wind is the worst for fluking... Stay Home!!!
A south wind will make Blackfish bite in the middle of the summer...
Last year when the water got super warm in july... The stripers stopped attacking bunker pods and nutin was on them except sharks..
It blew hard south for 3 day water dropped 5 degrees and stripers blitzed the bunker again.
What really matters is what the wind direction actually does to conditions... water temp swell etc.
Hard noreeast bust up the clams on da beach... stripers go crazy... but it wont be such a nice day to go on the boat...
In the fall hard nw is good for jigging... bait swims into the wind towards the beach....
