Raritan Bay Fluking 6/14

picked son Brian(striper74) up this morning at 5,had picked bait up yesterday afternoon,so straight to the ramp,out of Sayreville a little after 6 and headed down river and fishing by 6:30.bait for the day was smelts,squid and fresh bunker strips.tried way in the back and picked a few shorts and I Mean a few,moved out in the Reach channel and tried here,not one taker,moved back to back bay where we at least had some action,Brian got his first keeper of the year,a nice fat flattie just over 20 inches and I followed with one just over 21 inches,we  did manage a couple more shorts and that was it.skies were overcast and threatened at times but only some sprinkles,boat traffic was light for a Sunday morning.headed in a little after noon.good day on the water and we had some action.     Kez

Nice job.  I ventured out a little further Saturday and caught a bunch in deep water. I'll post a report in a bit.

AJ what day you going out,I'll be out tomorrow,Tuesday,will be moving around more,with the NY fluke season closed,it limits me in the back bay.be on 68,give me a shout if your out slt Kez
