We have caught some nice fluke fishing at night from the docks in the Shrewsbury River......put the bait right on the light/darkness line ;)

Hi Flukedood,

From observing Summer Flounder/Fluke during night dives, I can say they are feeding but not as active as during the day.

My uncle still swears that fishing the Ambrose Channel at night is the best way to target doormats. Being that I have seen many of his catches, I cannot argue. One problem is that boating safety is a serious consideration. You cannot see that submerged wood at night. So if you fish like this, be careful.

Thanks,

Ed
