2003 yamaha 250 hpdi XL shaft

a friend asked me to do some research on this motor on the computer,but can't really find anything,want to know weight of this motor and any feedback would be appreciated,he's looking at a used motor with low hours.   Kez

just under 500lb

IMO go for the F250 if you can handle the extra weight (about 100lb more)
