Friday Advice
« on: July 09, 2009, 01:10:21 PM »
I have a friend coming in from out of town and I just want to put him on some fish. Any fish.

Anyone care to offer me some educated opinions on what to target?

Inside/Out front?

Tires for bottom fishing? GSN or GSS?

Ridge or thereabouts for some trolling?

Threshers or Mako?

I've never been this indecisive as to what kind of trip to plan for. I have not been out much yet this year due to a frustrating mishap with my rig that kept me off the water for a few weeks, and have had very little success so far.

Any advice would be welcome. It will help me make up a very confused mind right now...

I'm Having the same problem.  what and where to target..  The fluke fishing hasn't been very good ..in the bay or outside.  The only sure game in town right now is Sea Bass on the wrecks..

I think I would target sea bass also if I was looking for the best bet. Good luck.

Thanks!  Any wrecks you like more than the rest? Is there a depth you feel might be more successful? Thinking of hitting Sea Girt Reef...

From Barnegat.  Seagirt Reef isn't worth it.  That's what I have been told by those Up there..

Most of you wrecks in Barnegat Reef.. or GS North will hols the seabas your looking for.

I am actauly going in the Am.. Not sure if I'll get out with the weather forecast..  but if I do.. IM looking for some stray Flat ones around the wrecks. t^
