Anyone trolling up Bonito/other at Manasquan Ridge recently?

As a newbie would like to try trolling for bonito near shore Friday. Anyone having success trolling up anything at the Manasquan ridge, or other near-in shore locations out of Manasquan or even Barnegat?

Although I have heard some good reports for Barnegat Ridge, not sure I'm ready for that first time run for me and my 2 sons given we only have a 21 footer and conflicting weather forecasts, including some with moderate winds out of the N/Nx. I'd prefer very calm west winds with flatter seas for that first run.

Please advise.

I haven't been out there yet. It should be producing. Barnegat Ridge is producing, but that is a pretty good run from Manasquan.

 I have heard the same reports from barnegat ridge but to be honest unless you are really sure of yourself and your boat thats a pretty far run for a 21 foot boat.  Of course on a great day it wouldn't be a problem we just don't seem to get to many of them.  I would give manasquan ridge a try I might be heading out there this saturday to give it a try myself.  If you go give me a ring on 16 the name of the boat is the Suzanna and my name is Rob, Good luck
