Had a 4 hour river trip today with Tom Sullivan and his two kids, Mave 7 yrs. old and Shaun 9 yrs. old. Fished from 8AM-12PM.
Fished the same stretch in the river again today, and had similar action to yesterday. Not the numbers, but still a lot of action despite a big fleet fishing the river and some wacky boat traffic. Light action spinning rods, mai tai bait rigs tipped w/ chartreuse gulp and live killies did the trick.
Boated ~50, kept 3, all 18.5-19" - Shaun took 2 of the keepers while Mave took 1. Back at the dock at noon time, great trip with some fantastic weather and a good crew!
