First year of fishing out of SRI and wanted to get one last crack at the fluke.Still learnin' the area and been jumping around tryin' different spots, hoping to find some keepers.
Yesterday was another tough day, as we broke the inlet looking at some pretty nasty water.One crew member went down early and retired to the cuddy. But we slugged it out and the day turned out beautiful by the afternoon, too bad the fish didn't cooperate.
Fished from Asbury Park to Long Branch, jigs, bait rigs, meat, gulp,sand eeels, squid, you name it. Nothin' but shorts and some MONSTER skates.
Oh well,next week it's on to tolling bonita. Maybe my luck will change. Just gotta keep putting lines in the water.
