IBSP 9-5-09
« on: September 05, 2009, 06:35:23 PM »
Arrived in the park just around 3pm......A little bit after low tide today.  The place was packed, with not many people fishing at all.  5hrug  Only worked one rod, hi-lo with clams, about 200 yards North of the Judge's Shack.  Held dead straight with 6 oz.  North/Northeast breeze, much slower than the previous trip.  Water was looking pretty clean and around 71.....Didn't see any medical waste that I was warned about.  t^  Only got one hit on the line today, on my first soak.  Nothing came of it.  Still, a great day for some relaxation.  Let's hope LT has some better luck, as he said he was heading in around 5.  I'll keep an eye out for his report.  TT^

I'll just tack onto your report here Jason.  Tried to keep an eye out for you, but it was packed out there.
We got out around 6.  Had a variety of bait....clams, bunker, peanuts, mullet and later robin strips.
Stayed busy right from the start with robins.  The wife and I worked 3 rods almost constantly for most of the night.
Total was 8 robins and two doggies in about 3 hours. Quite a few other hits that didn't take the hook.
As I've said in the past, they may be "garbage fish", but I'll take it over the skunk any day.
We had a good time.  Nice conditions, big bright moon and lots of catching.   TT^

Nice job LT!  Anything certainly is better than the skunk...in freshwater we will chase sunnies just to keep the skunk away.
