Sea Bass, Black Fish, and Crokers, O'My - 9/20
« on: September 20, 2009, 08:31:51 PM »
Since my trip on the canal Friday night produced nothing but missing hooks  thud and I am still in the market for my own boat, I decieded to catch a ride with Captian Al of the Pequod (my uncle) who goes out every week, (the wife actually let me out even thought we have a new born, remind me to thank here later  ;D).  We drifted over two local wrecks south of the inlet for 4 hrs with 60 sea bass keepers, half a dozen black fish, and a some how a dozen blue fish (first time catching one).  We must have caught over 200 fish in total and had almost 5 dozen sea bass between 12 and 12.5.  If I can get back out in the next 10 days to the spots, itll be nice to take them back in.  But the fish are hitting real nice right now, good luck to all that can get out.  chrz
The trouble with fishing is it was better before you got there, and after you left.
