Prep, sea bass

How do you go about fileting a sea bass, as they seem to have many bones.

hi ray, welcome!

I filet my sea bass just like most other fish. cut a vertical slics just behind the pectoral fin and then twist the knife and run it along the spine to the tail.

Welcome Aboard and ditto on hareball's tech.  Just make sure you have a sharp knife it is a lot easier and safer.  More people get cut with a dull blade.

An electric knife works wonders on the sea bass.  When you get the fillet off the rack with either a regular fillet knife or an electric knife you will more than likely have a bone or two right smack in the middle of the fillet.  You will feel it if you pinch the fillet a little.  You can either pull these out with a pair of pliers or cut a 'v' notch where the bones are and that will leave you with a bone free fillet.
