Left Keyport with Chris (Cashin) around 8:30am looking for birds.  We found them working along with the Bluefish boat Flamingo 3 on the south side of Union beach in shallow water. They were chasing down schools of Peanut Bunker. After catching a nice 12 pounder we switched over to some light tackle to play with them for awhile. They were hitting diamond jigs with feather teasers and white tubes. The bait worked its way down south and we called it quits just north of the Navy pier. We caught and released around 20 big blues and had a blast. I'm looking forward th the Striper's coming in.  TT^    Good luck!   Eddie

looks like a beautiful calm fish catchin day! chrz...last year the stripes were here good by the 15th...looks like its might be later if we don't get a cold streak.?

nice fish ,i hope the stripers are as thick as the blues , i hope the bait stays around so we get a shot at the stripers
