Decided to fish before this weather so called up Capt. Bob and asked if he wanted to go for a couple of hours....he gladly obliged....so we headed out to fish the river at 6 p.m.
had the incoming at first and not much action....2 bluefish 1 bite off....then the tide changed and we had a pick of fish on every drift for with Capt. Bob setting the hook into a real bruiser....the fish broke off after a nice fight and left us scratching our heads....after that, i rolled another nice fish boat side just as Capt. Bob was dipping the net in the water. Bummer!!!!!! Couple of more big demons and the fish were gone just as quick as they came...and we pounded the river until 12:30 a.m. but the drift was way to fast....almost 4 knots. Nice night with some good friends.....doesn't get much better!
