I have not tried or even heard of that rod.  I tried to find it on the Cabelas site but nada.  I did find that the Tica 1w2' rod is on sale and that is a good buy.

UEHA836502S  It has the same dimensions as you listed plus it is on sale for $129 and change.  Very good rod.  I have the 11' Tica Dolphin Surf and I just think it is great.

Any reel you put on that will work great.  I use the Penn Slammer 560 on mine with 30# & 40# Power Pro Braid.  Dynamite setup.

Hope this helps

Happy Catching

I have the Em-cast 5000 reel and I love it. By the way Diawa now has a line of Em-cast Rods that match up with the reels. was looking at an 11' 6" rod that is 2 piece and matches up with the 6000.
