Got home from work and Joey wanted to get out again so we went trolling for a few hours. Left the dock at 10:00 tide was just starting out so we cleared the inlet and made a right toward Sea Girt where my friend was fishing. We made it a mile or so then we picked up our first of about 12 gorilla blues. They were about 5-14# . We got down a little farther and picked up a short bass 27” . Next it was Joey’s turn and Yup the little son of a gun did it again. He got a 28 1/2 “ Bass. Needless to say he was a little more than excited about that. By the time we got off the Sea Girt Hotel we had more blues and there were party boats starting to show up from off shore. They were jigging and I didn’t see them get anything. My friend told me on the radio that he had one bass 30 “ and some blues also but that was the only bass he got to the boat. Well at least we had another short one. Went back to the dock by 1:00 so for 3 hours of trolling we did ok . Joey has bragging rights again so I had better leave him home so I can catch up ….It was a very nice day out on the ocean water temp 58 deg. West wind and a 4’ ground swell but it was sunny and pretty warm. I might try again today for a while if I get home and I am not too tired. Sorry about the pic quality but it is an old cell phone camera…. I’ll let you know the next time I get out.
