Irish Ayes Monday 11/9 Report
« on: November 09, 2009, 07:07:58 PM »
It was another great day aboard the The Irish Ayes. Leaving the dock shortly after 8 am with a 5 man crew Capt. Joe, Capt. Mike, Bob G, 1st time togger Matt, and Myself elected to write this report. Motoring out of the inlet and heading North we were greeted with lake like conditions and the sky filled with working birds as far as you could see. We stopped just North of Asbury on some rolling fish. Armed with metals and lures Capt. Mike was the first to hook up with a Butterfly Jig Bringing a 2-3 lb bluefish to the boat. Next was Capt. Joe on a STORE BOUGHT lure not his wifes silverware, He had a Bluefish crash his lure on top of the water which is always exciting to see  clp. Off to the rock piles set the anchor with little wind and it was game on with  Blackfish coming over the rails and once again it was Capt. Mike putting a 7lb hog on deck. Matt being his first time took little time to get in on the action with a Rod and Reel not really suited for this game had no problem putting fish on Deck. Bob G using a high low rig had a double header. We had our 5 man limit in the cooler in no time and it was catch and release the rest of the day, we could have had the 6 fish limit with no problem. We had to reset the anchor maybe 4 times due to the change in wind direction ending the day with a 10 to 15 knot South wind. A great time as always with Capt. Joe and Friends. ALMOST FORGOT NO FISH COUNT TOTAL TODAY, WHAT THE HELL DOES "1 CLICK" MEAN ! rgmn rgmn  rofla rofla Eddie [Hunter2] Hook Capt Joe up with a clicker please  TT^

Good Job Joe maybe i'll see you before next season. TT^
A good day of fishing is better than a bad day of fishing. A bad day of fishing is better than a good day of work. That means work sucks!

Another good crew who knew how to catch em. First timer for tog Matt picked up rather quickly and had a nice pull of toggies. He is now hooked (no pun intended) on them.  ;D

Always good to have you guys on board.  t^
