For you guys that fished it before what's the rules as far as leaving Man. Inlet.I know you can't leave before 6am.Can I come in the inlet @ 5am,wait around then meet committee boat?

Hi FishRaiser,

There is a visual "check-out" that you have to do. I think they have it at BHYC gas pump  for those staying in the Barnegat Bay and Hoffman's. It is unveiled at the Capt's meeting.

So, it is not just a leave at the white flare but also check-out/check-in. So, to answer your question, you have to come in the inlet ... now some folks may say do they really check the rooster of boat's that "Checked Out." Why take the chance?

I will be fishing this tournament ... I love the picnic (starts too early though).

Thanks Capt. so in essence I can come in the inlet,meet up with the check point & then head back out.Reason I'm saying this is I come out of Shark River & originally I wasn't going to use my boat but we have a few more guys interested in going now.

That is correct ... with the caveat that you do not fish any area prior to the start of the tournament.
