Had Mike from Castaway Fame charter today along with Jimmy,Marc,Pete, Garret,and Mikey Wells
Got setup on our first drop and had great life, But they were all shorties only managed to box 4 keepers from there... Had a bite a soon as you locked the reel up but wrong size...
Made a few drops inshore and we picked a 1/2 dozen off each one along with a lot of shorts but couldnt get anything good going.
Went to another area and made two drops and these were the best of the day although it was still a tough bite ya had to stay with it and pick thru alot of toy togs...
Our last drop we seen our best bites and some nice size fish... had a decent flurry of fish 4-7lbs before it was time to go. Everyone worked hard and boxed some meat up from here.
Congrats to Garret first time toggin stuck with it and landed a few nice ones....Pete stuck with it and wacked a few out from his honey hole late... Jimmy wins the brotherly battle over Mike and lab beat out his lab limit
Mark was da man today picking up the slack and was high hook with around 20 keeper size fish!!!
It wasnt easy put in a long day and the guys grinded it out by days end we wound up with 47 keeper size fish (6 man limit+) with everyone taking home a legal limit! Way more shorts today than we been seeing.
